There's a lot to love in this movie, the encounter of two strangers in New York city, even the plot is interesting.
I'd like to refer Nick&Norah's Infinite Playlist as a fantasy movie which eventually the fantasy is true, I mean, not in the Disney world kinda way where the princess met the prince and there's witch step mother blablabla.
In the middle of the night in New York city with all the beautiful lamps, and car honks, and clubs and gays and drag queens they got a pretty good adventure here, not to mention some nice jokes and love story.
I cannot watch a movie until 2-3 times (except it was Goal 2 which Iker Casillas was a cameo in it) I don't like Michael Cera as much as I like George Clooney, but I fell in love with his character, Nick and also Kat Dennings's, Norah. It was those two main role who made me watched this movie again and again.
Some movies can make you feel happy, others such a lousy crap you can't even finish it, but this movie can make you feel........ tremendously happy ; )
oh and the second best thing from this movie is the soundtrack! I love it! I really really love and I've searching for its CD here in Jakarta but unfortunately I can't find it anywhere, grrrrr.
some quotes:
Thom: You just haven't figured it out yet, have you. Nick: What?
Thom: ...The big picture!
Nick: I guess not.
Thom: The Beatles.
Nick: What about them?
Thom: This.
[grabs Nick's hand]
Thom: Look, other bands, they want to make it about sex or pain, but you know, The Beatles, they had it all figured out, okay? "I Want to Hold Your Hand." The first single. It's effing brilliant, right?... That's what everybody wants, Nicky. They don't want a twenty-four-hour hump sesh, they don't want to be married to you for a hundred years. They just want to hold your hand.
and finally......
Dev: It was a great night, my hetero heroine.
